The Shawnee County Lutheran Education Foundation (SCLEF) is committed to providing financial resources which will encourage adults to become called professional church workers in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) through engagement of Shawnee County LCMS congregations and LCMS Concordia Institutions. In addition, SCLEF will offer financial support for current called church workers and for children and family Lutheran education programs within the Shawnee County LCMS congregations.

Application Process. Eligibility. Deadlines. Scholarship and Partial Loan Repayment Application Forms, along with Eligibility Guidelines, are available (see “College Scholarships” and “Loan Repayment” tabs located upper right corner). Deadlines are: July 1, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.

Lutherans Supporting Lutherans. The SCLEF mission is to provide financial assistance for adults preparing to become ordained or commissioned LCMS church workers, for current called church workers, and for Lutheran education programs for children and families within Shawnee County LCMS congregations.

The Shawnee County Lutheran Education Foundation is registered with the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office and is tax-exempt under IRS Code Section 501(c) (3).
